Blessed Generation has taken a significant step in fostering family-based care by providing homes within and around its Malindi premises for foster and adoptive families. This initiative encourages alternative family structures, ensuring that vulnerable children grow up in a loving and supportive environment.
With this model, Blessed Generation is not just caring for children—it is building futures, fostering dignity, and reshaping the narrative for vulnerable youth in Kenya.
“It was once called unrealistic—too big, too complex. But today, it stands tall, offering light where there once was darkness.”
What once seemed like an impossible dream is now a thriving village of twelve family homes, built with love and determination. Couples with steady jobs and families of their own have opened their hearts and homes to children from Blessed Generation, offering not only shelter but true belonging.
This approach to family-based care is unique in Kenya: it allows children to grow up in a stable, nurturing household while still benefiting from the support of Blessed Generation through education, food, and healthcare. It is a living, breathing community where hope, light, and future converge.
During the opening ceremony, guests witnessed a powerful moment as Ramla, one of the girls now living in the Lighthouse village, stood confidently and addressed the crowd. Raised in the care of Blessed Generation, Ramla shared her story—a testimony to resilience, growth, and new beginnings.
