What Makes BG High Special?

BG High is a small school that fosters a warm and inclusive atmosphere.

BG High is a small school that fosters a warm and inclusive atmosphere. Unlike many other institutions, there is no strict segregation between boys and girls. Here, students receive quality education and vital emotional and social support, helping them build self-confidence, develop their talents, and grow into responsible, well-educated individuals.

At BG High, students are introduced to the world beyond the classroom, encouraging independent thinking. By embracing computers, the internet, and new technologies, BG High ensures that students are well-prepared for the workforce and further education. BG High boasts an impressive 98% success rate, and since its inception in 2015, many students have progressed to vocational training programs.

Why Do We Have Our Own Highschool?

In Kenya, secondary schools are inherently boarding schools, and BG students previously faced challenges adapting to these larger institutions far from home. The vast distances made it difficult for BG’s social workers to provide proper emotional support, and it became increasingly costly. Moreover, school fees were rising annually.

What Are We Still Working On?

To provide enough space for all students, two additional dormitories and a new school building are essential. Significant funding is required for this expansion.

Blessed Generation receives support from the Stichting Geen Dak foundation in this process.

History of Blessed Generation Highschool

Your support has transformed countless lives. Let's keep making a difference!

The project in Ruiru began, originally as an orphanage. Children attended nearby schools.

Ria Fennema took over the orphanage from an American pastor. A new shelter and primary school were built.

Blessed Generation provided shelter and primary education for about 90 children. The school gained a solid reputation, with 200 paying students from the local community also enrolled. In early 2015, BG children were moved to new homes in Malindi and Nyamira. The transformation of the buildings into a high school began.
