A Unique Community Model
The Lighthouse Project is an extension of Blessed Generation, designed as a small village where families live together in a unique communal setting. The village currently consists of 12 homes, each housing couples who have their own children while also welcoming children from Blessed Generation into their families through adoption or foster care. Unlike before, these children are no longer officially registered under Blessed Generation, as they now belong to loving families that provide them with care and stability. To support these households, Blessed Generation offers assistance with housing, food, and education, ensuring a secure and nurturing environment for every child.
What was once considered an ambitious and unattainable dream—met with skepticism and doubt—has now become a reality. Many who initially dismissed the idea now walk through the village with admiration, eager to learn from its success. The journey required perseverance, but today, the Lighthouse Project stands as a beacon of hope, illuminating the path toward a brighter future.
A Moment of Celebration
The official opening ceremony of the Lighthouse Project took place on October 29, 2024. Among the speakers was Ramla, a young woman who grew up at Blessed Generation and later found a home within one of the Lighthouse families. Her story is a testament to the impact of the project. As the headteacher eloquently put it, “Sit back, relax, and enjoy!”—a sentiment that reflects the joy and success of this milestone.
